Director: George Miller, George Ogilvie
Writer: Terry Hayes, George Miller Actors: Mel Gibson, Tina Turner, Bruce Spence Runtime: 107 minutes Country: Australia, USA This is the third and final part of the Mad Max Trilogy. It is the peak of George Miller's great masterpiece, better than the other two combined! Human decadence and failure of moral, all whipped up inside just one motion picture! To not see this movie is a sin, in my opinion. Again, in a post-apocalyptic wasteland of Australia, Max is confronted with some new threats. A woman (Tina Turner) is trying to conquer what is left of the world. She is the ruler of a really "decadent technological society". In other words, this city runs on pigs' fecal matter, and not on fuel. There is no law. If two people have a problem, they enter "The Thunderdome" and they sort it out by themselves. They can even kill each other. What problem begins outside the Thunderdome, ends inside the Thunderdome. That's the main principle. Max also confronts a group of forgotten children who wait for their "Captain Hero" to return. They then believe that Max is that hero. They have a totally distorted concept of the world that lies beyond their small "canyon" oasis. The effects are, of course, perfect. Again, there is no concrete soundtrack. The sounds are fascinating. The costumes of people are almost cyberpunk and really creative. The entire "decadent and technological" city is a great sight for viewers who enjoy dystopian and post-apocalyptic scenarios. Mel Gibson did it again, he was perfect, even though I hate him. I was surprised with Tina Turner's acting. I think that she is a better actress than she is a singer, and she sings great. You can then conclude, according to this, that she is an actress beyond perfection. This movie showed to me how people can be cruel. It made me think of the fact that we are all just plain and aggressive animals (no offence to any animal because any animal is better than us). This movie gives us an idea how the future will bring mankind down. The future will murder humanity and morality. This movie is another one that you MUST watch before you die. -Piper Blurred
