GOD AND SPACE

Picture
Who is God? What is God? I suppose every person has their own answer to this question. Some people think he has a human form, others think he has no body at all. When I was a child I always imagined he was a young man who was lonely and he created us so that we could entertain him. My teachers used to tell me he was an old guy with a white beard, sitting on a cloud. Whatever he is, nobody will ever know for sure. Maybe he doesn't exist at all.

Buddhists think God is cosmic energy. They have a different conception of him than most religions. They think that this energy is all around us, in space, all across the universe and we live off it and feed off it in our sleep. I think this is beautiful. Many Christians are afraid of God because they think he will punish them if they do something wrong. This idea of energy on the other hand gives me freedom of choice, rather that fear of a punishment. But if God is energy, then he has no gender.

Picture
If he created other worlds, then it is very possible that other worlds have life too. Why do we think that we are the only ones? Because it is only human to feel special, to feel unique. Scientists think it is possible that life may appear on Titan, Saturn's moon. God is creating another Earth. Maybe he thinks we need help because we are obviously unable to keep our lives together, to keep our planet in one piece. Or maybe he wants to abandon us because we disappointed him and he's making new creatures that won't fail him.

God is giving us signs. He always gives us signs, and every time we don't follow them something happens that we usually don't want. Titan could be a sign. It could well be a warning that we should pay attention to our Earth. We are destroying her. He is giving us another planet because he wants to give us a second chance. Or maybe this is not a second chance, but a third? Some scientists think we used to live on Venus and that we destroyed her and then moved to Earth. This could be true. I would like to think that it is.

These signs aren't instructions because if they were then it wouldn't be fair. Signs are exactly what they mean. They are hints. We are supposed to figure out the puzzle and do what we think is best. For example: scientists also discovered a planet that can already sustain life. This is a hint that we have a fail safe plan, we have a place to go to if we kill Earth. But if this planet already has its inhabitants then we shouldn't conquer their home. That's why signs aren't instructions. We should figure out what to do. How can we figure out what would be the right thing to do?

Picture
People have completely forgot about instinct. Every single time a person had “a feeling” that something was not right something bad happened. You could also call it intuition. Men say that only women have intuition. I don't think this is true. If God is in space as well as he is on Earth, then space is his kingdom too and we should follow the same moral rules we follow at home. Unfortunately some scientists are greedy and immoral and there is no certainty that they would agree upon the moral thing to do if something were to happen. I know for sure that they would conquer the planet I mentioned before without even blinking. Humans are greedy by nature, we would rather save ourselves than even think of the well being of other life forms.

I am not an expert in theology. I am not a priest, a monk or a professor. Maybe I could be wrong about all of these things I wrote. I am just a student that has opinions on certain issues and sometimes I don't even have arguments to back up my opinions. But I am sure of one thing: energy is our creator and we should respect that energy. We don't need a bible to tell us how to behave. We don't need rules and priests and churches to order us what to do. If we think leaving Earth would be good then we should do it, but we should know how to accept the consequences. I don't want to ask myself if it is moral or not because if God gave us a sign that we should leave, then we should leave without asking questions. If we want our children to have a good future, we should stop asking questions. Our scientists should stop prying into matters they will never understand because I think that they have poked enough. Every time we poke, we find out something unpleasant or we create more unanswerable questions.

Space is not a toy, nor is energy. It is not our own private playground. Every action has a reaction. Whatever we do affects something else and therefore we should be careful what steps we take. If we do something wrong, energy won't punish us. It wouldn't be a punishment but a failure to communicate. Like I just said, every action has a reaction. If we do something bad, the reaction will be bad. This is how nature works.

I think that God is everywhere. Every single thing we do has God in it and he is inevitable. We have his power, even though we sometimes forget we do. Space is where we live, that's where our Earth is and we should show it as much respect as we show our own home, our own room and bed. Without respect and love towards the energy that gave us life we will eventually turn into monsters that killed their mother because they were hungry. We should never try to separate things that are not meant to be separated such as God and space. They are one, and they will always be one.

*Imaginary Cloud No. 456**WORLD PEACE and Behaviorist Bullshit*

Did anybody ever tell you that you were worthless? Seriously, did you ever hear this word from a person's mouth and feel that it was directed straight towards you? I bet you did, or if you didn't: you will. This is a guarantee.

You see, people possess this paradox.
They like to talk about the goodness of the human heart, but they actually enjoy rudeness, violence, murder and offensiveness very much indeed. Yes, this is a paradox. Don't tell me you never felt the urge to put somebody down with evil words just because they felt stupid to you at the moment or you wanted to feel superior. You did, but you simply would never allow yourself to admit this. Why do we do this?

Why do we have to behave the way that we behave? I know I'm asking all the right questions. But who will give me the answers? Nobody knows. But when you take a look at all the psychological bullshit that experts throw at our faces, you know that it doesn't feel right. It never did feel right in the first place. What to do?Some say, "world peace is the best solution". Are you kidding me? Whose leg are you trying to pull, the leg of the public or your own leg, for crying out loud?! World peace is an illusion that will never happen and we all know this, but we avoid talking about it because it is easier to live in an ideological lie. Well, if it makes you feel better, go right ahead, but I assure you: living in an imaginary "cloud number 456" world never brought anybody any good, nor will it bring you any good. Why is this so?

Because of the fact that we actually enjoy to put people down sadistically, we will never be able to obtain world pace. This is a fact. PERIOD.

What do you want?
What do I want?
What do we all want?

Yesterday, I met with a person very dear to me. To be even more precise, I met with a man who I really love. Now what puzzles me is, can an 18 year old individual feel so strongly for someone? Let me assure you, this is not one of those LOVES that happened in 15 minutes. The man and I spent two lovely years together and our emotions built up inside of us gradually.

Unfortunately, at the peak of our love, we had to say goodbye to each other. I am not going to explain this. It would take me a 800 page novel to do so. My question is, why did we meet? Why do people constantly go back to something that they are trying to overcome or beat down? For the death of me, I am unable to understand this because I am emotionally poor. Don't get me wrong, it's not like I am unable to feel. I am simply refusing to let my emotions meddle with my decisions. But is that good? And by the way, Virgo is my zodiac sign. Virgos constantly try to be unemotional, almost mechanical. The problem is: in truth, we are actually highly emotional and tend to be very irrational. At least, I'm that kind of a Virgo. I don't know for the rest of you. Apparently, there are different kinds.

Let me set aside the zodiac for a moment. You cannot determine people with it. Things would be a lot easier if this was true, right? Sometimes I wish I could read people's minds and know what is going on instantly. I guess life would be boring for me if I had this ability.

Picture
As I let my feelings burn a hole inside of me this morning, I came to a conclusion that emotions are our biggest problem because they pull us back from our life path more often than we think. That is why we are trying to create all this stuff, this mechanical junk that pollutes our lives and minds. That's the beauty of it: the thing is mechanical, it doesn't feel! Does your flat screen have emotions? No. Does your laptop have emotions? No. I am pretty sure it doesn't, otherwise it would scream of agony every time you log into Facebook or some other dumb social networking website.

So what's my point? You cannot kill your emotions, or can you? Gobble down a handful of Valium and a bottle of vodka and you won't be able to feel anything. Your body will be so numb and your brain will yell: "the subscriber is not temporarily available!" But I guess poisoning yourself is not the solution. The solution would be to deal with it, to find a road that suits your rational side and your emotional parts. I don't mean: "get married, have a enormous bunch of kids and you've solved all your problems forever" kind of thing. Marriage and birth is also not a solution. It's something that will settle you temporarily. A family pulls an enormous amount of responsibility onto your shoulders. Are you ready to deal with it?

Picture
Now, since I am losing my grip on this post, you are probably asking yourself: "What does this have to do with the title of the post?" Well, I'm getting there. Keep your pants on for a moment. As I was saying, I thought about many things this morning and I decided I would turn myself "off" for a while. What do I mean? I mean that I will try to shut my emotions down, to rest from them because I am sick and tired of feeling a thousand different things every morning when I wake up. I want to focus on my education, my career, my blogs, my writing especially. I haven't written a story in two years, or even more! All I have been writing for the past two years is poetry, in two languages - English, and my native language because I felt kind of bad writing in English, and not writing in Serbian. I'm a traitor of my own culture. I want to focus on my health too.

Did you ever listen to the song "Gallons of Rubbing Alcohol Flowing Through the Strip" by Nirvana? Well, there were gallons of rubbing alcohol flowing through MY BODY for ages. I am not an alcoholic, mind you. I always drink when I go out and in company. You just have to understand one thing before I continue: I live in a country where it is completely normal to drink like a maniac. Bosnia is similar to Russia when it comes to the matter of alcohol. Anyway, my health is down to 20% and I have no money to go from doctors to other doctors. Apparently, I am in the process of getting an ulcer. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and I invented a great diet for myself, and also decided to become a vegetarian.

Then, this morning I realized: I am babbling with myself for 30 minutes already and I smoked 10 cigarettes in this process. I realized that I am emotionally anemic, or better said: I am a fantastic adult when it comes to responsibilities, education, work, chores and the mechanical and unemotional parts of life. But when it comes to emotions, I know how to feel them and how to live through them but I AM UNABLE, for the death of me again, to REALIZE how to live WITH them and work with them in synchronization with my body.
This is my emotional failure, and I won't deny it.
I get afraid of myself often.
What to do?
Keep writing.

OUR OFFSPRING
WHAT'S GOING ON?

In the 21st century, people often forget what children are. They forget that children are a product of love and respect. Children are a part of your family. They are you and they are not you at the same time. They are a better version of your genetic code. They are a wealth that we are blessed with. Without them, there can be no future. But still, people tend to forget what they mean. What are the consequences of this?

Picture
A lot of bad things happen to children. You can see or hear about this in the news every day. People abuse, beat, torture and even rape children. For example: a man raped his little daughter for years. When she told her mother, the woman didn’t believe her! When the police discovered the whole thing, the child was taken away from the parents and put into a foster home where they abused her again! Children are being treated like dirt on a daily basis. Nobody is doing anything concrete to stop this. If children have become an endangered species these days, what kind of a future awaits them? Do they even have one?

If we keep on living like this, children will lose all connections to humanity. We live in a fast and bad way, and children watch us and do everything that we do. For example: a married couple owns a company and they trick people and take their money every day. Their child watches this; listens to them do this all the time. When this child grows up, he/she will think this is completely normal. People constantly forget that children will turn into adults eventually. If they are in a bad environment, they will grow up into bad adults. People are aware of this and unfortunately they make little or no effort to fix this. Why don’t governments react?

I think the governments want to keep things the way they are. I’m not saying that some governments didn’t try to do something. I’m just saying that they want to turn children into robots. They need a ruthless and unemotional army to fight their wars in the future. They let companies sell violent video games and they let movie producers make violent movies. They brainwash children with sugar packed candy and stories of criminal heroism every day. How am I sure of this? I am sure because if governments really wanted to stop this, they would. That’s why they are governments! They control their countries and if they passed a prohibition or did something similar, they would put an end to this. But they are not doing it. Isn't this enough proof of their intentions? Why is this happening at all?

Picture
We are unconsciously preparing for wars. The governments are influencing people and giving them hints that there will be a war soon. Just take a look at the news; you don’t need more proof than that. They need armies with no feelings, no morality. They need killer machines and they are trying to turn our kids into some kind of organic robots that will have no mercy on a battlefield. But do we really want our children to fight a war that isn’t even theirs? I suppose a regular person would answer with a no, but our actions show a different answer. In a world like this, what kind of hope can young people have if they want to start a family?

The way we treat children doesn’t give young people and future parents any hope at all. They don’t even know how they would protect their child from brutal situations. They are afraid to start a family because of what is going on. For example: a friend of mine really wants to have a child. She is young, about 20 years old and her goal is to have a huge family. But when she started reading the newspaper every day she was shocked at how many children are kidnapped and raped monthly. She then told me she is afraid of having a child because she wouldn’t know how to save him/her. She even cried when she was talking about this. Future parents don’t know how to protect their child anymore. Many young couples even give up on having a child because of this. Will the meaning of family fall to pieces in the future?

Picture
Parents have to find a way to protect their children by any means necessary. I don’t mean that they have to lock their children in a room and never let them out! They have to try and explain to a child what’s going on in the world. This is difficult. Some parents don’t know how to explain the word “death” to a child until it turns 13! They don’t have to scare their children; they can explain bad things to them in a peaceful manner so that the child doesn’t completely freak out. If parents don’t find a way to do this, then future parents will completely lose their wishes to create a family. If there are no children, that means there will be no humans in the future. What’s the point in having kids if we don’t know how to save them?I could talk about this for days. I could even tell you that everything is going to be okay and that we will find a way to preserve the lives of children. I could also write you down a huge list of things that we should do. But I am not going to do any of this. I am going to be negative. Deep down inside we all know what’s going to happen, and it isn’t going to be anything good. We are aware of this as a giant community and no matter how hard we try to save our offspring, we won’t succeed. It’s already too late. I just hope that we will manage to at least remind ourselves how valuable children are. A great poet Kahlil Gibran wrote the best definition of children I ever read:

Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.

You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow,

which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them,

but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.

You are the bows from which your children
as living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite,

and He bends you with His might

that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness;
For even as He loves the arrow that flies,

so He loves also the bow that is stable.”

Yes or no?

A group of computer engineers created virtual reality. This program is used by the military and some medical facilities for therapy. Apparently, people find it easier to face their fears in cyberspace than in real life. The patients are inserted inside a simulation of their phobias and are forced to “live” through them. The patients have their own avatars inside the program. This seems to be easier for doctors because they can control the situation better. The patients are satisfied and they are recovering faster than patients with normal therapy. This sounds lovely, but can it bring humanity any good?

We live in a world that is falling apart. Terrible things happen every day. I think that, because of this, we are trying to escape from reality more often than we like to admit. A virtual world is the perfect solution. We could plug in for a few hours, create a relaxing ambient and forget about our daily troubles for just a moment. We could also face them, like these patients do. Facing our troubles through a simulation sounds effective. But does it really help?

Picture
I think that, in reality, it doesn’t help at all because the patient knows it isn’t real. For example: a drug addict wants to stop using drugs. He plugs into the simulation and puts himself in situations where he has to resist from taking contraband. He will stop taking drugs inside the program eventually. But will it be the same in real life? I think not, because subconsciously he will know it was not real. Even if the simulation felt real, his brain will still send him signals that it wasn’t. Therefore, why bother with this imaginary therapy at all?

Maybe people don’t care if it is going to work or not. Maybe they just need a place where they can escape from their lives. You can’t escape from your life in the real world. Even if you move to another country, the fact that you are still in the real world doesn’t change anything. Bad things can happen to you everywhere, no matter where you are. For example: if you have agoraphobia and you live in New York, you will still have it, even if you move to Tokyo. That’s why I think that most people don’t care if it works. They just need a place to go to where they can be something else. They need this place because, for a moment, they can forget who they really are. They can plug into their avatars and relax for a moment. But if every person did this, what would the world be like?

Picture
A few months ago, I watched a movie that gave a good answer to this question. The movie is calledSurrogates. It’s a cyberpunk movie. The story is set in the near future, and everybody is using avatars that are called surrogates. However, these avatars are not inside a program. They are real, mechanical avatars with green liquid instead of blood. They look like their hosts, except their faces are younger. People plug into them from a machine that they have at home. Originally, they started using them because the crime rate in the world was high and people wanted to be safe. If somebody destroys an avatar, the host does not die. The host just walks to a store and buys a new one. Of course, this lowered the number of deaths because nobody could die. But eventually, after a few years, people stopped leaving their houses in their real bodies and began to use their surrogates for everything. A rebellion of people who boycott surrogates then created a special weapon. When this weapon destroys a surrogate, the host is killed immediately. I don’t want to spoil the ending but I can say that everybody realized how horribly false their lives were. Do engineers need to develop this program if things are going to be like this in the future?

Nobody knows what will happen tomorrow, let alone in a few decades. I could be wrong about this. Maybe people wouldn’t end up like they did in this movie. Nevertheless, relying upon virtual reality instead of dealing with problems in real life sounds cowardly to me. I think that people should try as hard as they can to solve things properly and naturally! If we don’t fight for a better world, then what kind of humans are we? Where did our will to survive disappear? Virtual reality is a haven, but not a solution. Look at it from a biological and moral standpoint: if we start living in avatars, will we still be human?

Questions and Questions and Questions and Questions and Questions and Questions...

Humans give everything a purpose. A pen is for writing. A chair is for sitting. A book is for reading. Why? Why can’t everything be something else? What if I wanted to say that a pen is for cleaning dirt under my fingernails?

Most people stick to only one purpose. They know that an object can have many purposes, but they say it has just one. A pen can be used in a thousand ways. Why is this so? I think that, sometimes, we are incapable of accepting different things. We also find it easier to define something by giving it only one main purpose.

The main purpose is usually connected with the reason why the object was created. Pens were created so that people could write with them. Therefore, a pen is for writing. A main purpose of an object is like a summary on the back of a novel. You discover that there is more to the story when you read the entire novel. You discover more purposes when you use something in different ways, like cleaning your fingernails with a pen.

Picture
Humans also give everything a meaning. A meaning is something expressed or signified. A meaning can be a definition in a language. A pen is a thin and small object with ink inside it. A meaning can also be something important to a person, something of value. A certain pen means a lot to me because my mother gave it to me. Sometimes, a meaning does not have to be clearly defined. For example: what is love? There is no clear meaning of love. There is also no clear purpose of love. Purpose and meaning are similar and different at the same time. If we put them together, what is the purpose of meaning? What is the meaning of purpose?

The purpose of meaning is to define, express and regulate our lives. We give meaning to things because we need a way to communicate and because we are emotional. I can’t talk about the pen I got from my mother without meaning. If humans had no feelings, nothing would have a meaning. If there was no need for languages, there would be no meaning. There would be only purpose. If meaning does not exist, then words don’t exist either. Words are imaginary, even though you can put them down on paper. Written words are like a dream put down on paper. It’s on paper, but it does not exist. The dream did not happen. Or did it? If there is no meaning, then meaning has no purpose. If a dream can be real and unreal at the same time, then does purpose
exist at all?

Picture
Maybe nothing has a purpose. Things are just there, around us. We created them with a purpose but they don’t have one. In the end, everything can be used for everything and the purpose is lost. If it is lost, then it’s not there.

If there is no purpose and no meaning, then why do things exist in the first place? Are they there, just because we are able to make them? Things exist because they canexist. They don’t need a reason, a purpose or a meaning. The pen is there. It is a pen and it doesn’t need anything else “attached” to its existence. This makes me think of another question: why do we exist? What is our purpose? What is our meaning?

If these two don’t exist then we are here just because we are. God had fun while he was creating us and he never needed a reason. Someone placed us on Earth and left us alone so that we can weave our own dreams. Everything is what we say it is. We invent things, and along with these things we invent purposes and meanings. The dreamer had a dream, he invented it. The dream is not necessarily real, even though it was created. But if everything around is actually imaginary, do we exist at all?

The Word That Doesn't Exist

Many people live in absolute poverty. They go to bed hungry. Their children are undernourished. They cannot go to a doctor because they have no money. Some have never even seen a real hospital. Many of them die because they cannot get any food. Their children are unable to go to school or play games on a computer. These people don’t have the luxury of choosing the color of their clothes. They cannot afford holiday celebrations. They do not have cars or jewelry. Their children do not have toys or expensive cell phones. Many of them don’t even have a roof above their heads. Sometimes, they get donations. Sometimes, they don’t.

Many people often use the word humanity. I think that, sometimes, they don’t even understand the meaning of this word. If we were all so humane, things would be different. There would not be so many hungry children in the world. Let me give you an example: humanity is giving money to starving children in Africa instead of spending it on a gay parade. Humanity is buying cottages for poor and homeless people instead of spending money on a meaningless action movie that costs millions of dollars. Humanity is feeding children and building schools for them instead of wasting money on useless bombs. There are many other examples of “humanity” that I could write down. I am not going to do that because I think that “humanity” does not exist.

Humanity is a “Hollywood blockbuster movie” lie. We invented it to feel better and to say that we helped, but in reality we did not. Humanity is our excuse when we donate one measly dollar online, without even checking if the money is really going to reach the ones that desperately need it. “Humanity” feeds our conscience with lies when we go shopping. It suffocates the voice that tells us “stop it and do something” and stuffs our emotions away, in the back of our heads. It would be wonderful if it really existed.

Food and money will turn into bigger problems in the future. In my opinion, the hungry and the poor will start a riot, and many people that are willing to help will join. This riot will be the biggest riot in history! They have every right to do this. Nothing will be able to stop them until they get what they want. I think that too many facts are provoking them to start a revolt. These facts are provoking them on a daily basis. “For the price of one missile, a school full of hungry children could eat lunch every day for 5 years1 I can only imagine how a group of poor people feel when they read or hear something like this.

One problem is that some of the world's poorest countries owe hundreds of billions of dollars in debt to many of the more developed countries. This restricts the ability of the government to spend money to improve local conditions because the government instead spends money repaying other governments. Many are calling for the developed countries to cancel their debt, which would mean that the less developed country would not have to repay it.2 If these debts were cancelled, many people would breathe easier. In reality, I don’t think they will ever be cancelled completely. I can’t imagine a rich politician from the European Union giving up a few thousand Euros of his enormous salary in order to save hundreds of starving children from death. Maybe I am wrong, but I think that most of the people I know would agree with me.

What to do? How to solve this? Are the lives of millions of children so spendable? Is a fancy car that I want more important than a mother who curses God every day because her starving baby died in her arms? Is filming a 3D movie more important than people who don’t have access to hospitals? Is it acceptable that an individual has more money than an entire country? Are we humans or little demons that run around places and complain about luxuries we could not get immediately? Are gay rights more important than the right of a human to eat? Is developing new gadgets more important than developing the economy of poor countries?

If I was a billionaire, I would momentarily spend most of my money on the poor and hungry. Trust me; it would take me a month to spend it all on them. I would do many things to help them properly. I would open a thousand farms or factories and get them jobs. They would have a proper salary. Their children could have a normal life. I would leave a small amount of my money to myself, just so that I could invest it into something and help people even more. You are probably thinking: “Well yes, you say that now. But would you really do it if you actually had billions of dollars?” Yes, I would. I am sick of money. If it was up to me, money would not exist at all.

We will never solve this problem. We don’t understand most things in life. We are selfish, self-centered and weak. I believe that most people don’t even care about the hungry and the poor. We think we helped when we signed up for a petition on Facebook or when we donated a couple of dollars online in one year. The “Consumer’s Society” is consuming us, and we created it. Our brains have turned into mashed potatoes and advertisements. Fashion is more important than death. We are climbing up a mountain from which we will not be able to descend. One day, we will come to our senses. On that day, however, it will be too late. It already is. How many more have to die?

What is Normal?

When we say that a person is normal, what exactly do we mean? What defines normality? Who decided what is normal and what is not? Should a society define normality according to their rules of life? Why is the definition of being normal so subjective? What if what we think is normal actually isn’t?
Many people are unable to accept something new and unusual. They automatically think it is crazy, inappropriate or mad. I can give you many examples. Just take a look at our history! What happened to Galileo? Everybody thought he was crazy because he claimed that the world is round. Well, apparently he was right. But at that time, he was considered a madman! What happened to the witches? In the Middle Ages, people burned witches because they were considered mad and demonic. Instead, witches were probably women who had different opinions and lived their lives in a more unusual way than the rest. What about gay people? Some people still think that there is something wrong with them. Why can’t we accept something different? We know that people are different. Nobody is the same. Then why are we so judgmental?

In my opinion, most people can’t accept something different because it tells them that things are not always the same. Different things invade most people’s opinions. Different things show them that there is an alternative to their thoughts. I think that most people are afraid of alternatives. It is difficult to accept something new and different if you had the same opinions throughout your entire life. For instance, a woman who was brought up in a Catholic family can’t accept the fact that some people have sex before marriage. She thinks that people who do this are inappropriate, crazy or unmoral. But are they?

I believe that there are no normal or crazy people, except for people who really have a serious mental illness. The meaning of normality is very subjective and it is impossible to determine if somebody’s behavior is normal or not. For example: Fred is very religious. On the other hand, Ben is not. Ben likes to drink and go to rave parties. Fred thinks Ben is crazy. Other people, who are similar to Ben, think that he is completely normal. He just wants to have fun.

Most people have high opinions of themselves; they think they are intellectual and modern. Well, if they are so modern, why do they still reject gays, tattoos, piercings or heavy metal music? This is very contradictory. You cannot claim that you are modern and open minded if you still cannot accept something new and unusual to you. I know this, from personal experience. I have two tattoos; both of them are on my wrists. When I reach out for something with my hands, they are very visible. I plan on getting more. Some people who I know, who say that they are very modern, gasped when they saw my tattoos. They said: “Oh my God! You are crazy! How could you do that? Why on your wrists? Why didn’t you hide them?! Why did you do it?” But before I got them, when I was just telling them that I was planning on getting them, they were completely different. They said they loved tattoos. See what I mean?

We say that every person is different. Well, if we truly think so, then we should learn how to accept different things. If something is unusual, it does not mean that it is not “normal” or that it should be banned. We have to learn how to accept our fellow human. For instance, I do not like gay people. I don’t hate them; I never offended a gay person in my entire life. Two very good friends of mine are gay. I just don’t like the idea. However, I never said they were crazy, mad or inappropriate. I simply think that gay is against Mother Nature. But, I have accepted the fact that some people are gay and I will never say anything offensive about them. I accepted them, in my head. People are entitled to live their lives the way they want to, as long as their way of living doesn’t hurt someone. We should learn how to accept various things if we truly want to be modern and intellectual.

Technology Will Be The Death of Us

You have to admit, the human brain is a complicated thing. We have no idea what is going on in our thick heads. Still, we manage to "spit out" fabulous technological inventions that people could only dream of a hundred years ago. On the other hand, our behavior is so "infantile" that sometimes I doubt we managed to invent anything.

Yes, computers are useful. But should we integrate them so much into our lives? We have hands and feet. We don't need all the gadgets we use in order to live a good life. Why invent 3D television? 2D is enough. Nobody thinks that way anymore. I guess that's the reason why communism could not survive. We cannot tell when something is enough. Sometimes, you don't need to push it. Just stop where you are, and savor the goddamn moment of pleasure. Don't scratch it out and start building something new just because you can.

We have all these beautiful creations around us, but we use them to destroy as we go. We are like little children: what we make, we break! We have really advanced technology, which means we have the materials to save our environment but we are not doing it. If the entire world used renewable energy resources, we could solve many problems. But we are so greedy, and underdeveloped, that we don't realize that we have great powers in our hands. We keep on using them for the wrong things. This is so bad. It makes me feel like I gave a toddler the keys to my car. He will have an accident before he even manages to turn the car on.

Well, maybe this was a bad comparison but I guess you figured out what I mean.
What to do?

                                          The Void
                                 (We Sucked It All In)

When you walk down the street, do you ever feel like there is something missing around you? As if a piece of life's puzzle got lost underneath some bed, you try to figure out your story and the story of others but you can't put the facts together.

Does it seem logical to you that we evolved from monkeys? I'm not sure, but I suppose the other monkeys should have shown signs of evolution too. And what about Stonehenge? I seriously doubt that "thing" was used for praying and sacrificing. When you look at the evidence, at that time they didn't even have the correct tools to build such a huge monument. And atop of all, it's still standing while some buildings that we build today, crumble and fall as if they were made out of gingerbread.

You live your life. I don't care if you choose to live it regularly, or alternatively, as long as you live it and as long as you don't hurt anybody on purpose in this whole "complicated" process of breathing air and shitting used food. But you try to put the pieces together, right? Sometimes you feel like you can't, right? And as you walk on through your daily chores and entertainment, you realize that all the facts are spinning around like crazy. It feels like they want to suck you into a black hole and you have no idea where it will take you because black holes are still a mystery to scientists.

Or are they?
What are they hiding from us? They're hiding something. But what?
How does that make you feel? I could scream at them for days, I would torture them to tell me. Although, sometimes, I'm not sure I want to know the whole truth. What if it's terrible? What if we are something that we actually are not? There are so many questions floating inside a person's mind, but the answers are lost or unavailable. It's the same thing when you try to call someone, and the network service tells you: "The subscriber is now temporarily unavailable, please call later."

Our governments do the same thing. However, they are not "temporarily" unavailable, but "forever" unavailable. When it's time for the elections, and when we actually and finally choose to vote for somebody else, that "somebody else" sits at the parliament chair and repeats the whole damn thing. And we're back at the start, we do the same things all over again. But even then, our questions remain unanswered. I wish I could read their minds. I wonder what kind of unpleasant things roam inside their neural synapses. They float around like ugly black stains and they poison the air with the shit they say on live TV. But we don't care, because we're not doing anything about it.

Well, that guy that created WikiLeaks, Julian, apparently did something. And he darn well did a great job! He really scared the baby Jesus out of them, because as soon as his Leaks spread across the world, all these politicians started sweating on TV and they started making up excuses that clearly WERE NOT excuses.

But still, it feels like something is seriously missing. But what?
